Indian Space Research Organization/Department of Space Centers/Units are engaged in Research and Development activities in development of Space Application, Space Science and Technology for the benefit of society at large and for serving the nation by achieving self-reliance and developing capacity to design and build Launch Vehicles and Communication/Remote Sensing Satellites and thereafter launch them.
SSLC/SSC/Matriculation + ITI/NTC/NAC in respective advertised post trade from NCVT/SCVT.
Graduate + First Class Master’s degree in Library Science / Library & Information Science or Equivalent from recognized University/Institution/UGC/DEC.
Age limits: 18 to 35 years. Age relaxations for Ex-Serviceman, PWBD and as per GOI rules.
Reservations: OBC, SC, ST & EWS as per GOI rules.
Medical Criteria: Medical will be done by ISRO Medical Team or candidate has to produce the medical and fitness certificate from a Government Assistant Civil Surgeon/Medical Officer and the process is not so much tough process generally. But you should be physically and mentally fit for taking govt. job. Spectacles no problems but should be as per medical criteria by ISRO.

Initial appointment group-C None-Gazetted Post for ISRO Technician-B/ Draughtsman-B. However ISRO provide opportunity to become a group B non-Gazetted officer “Junior/Assistant Engineer” after minimum 24/32 years of services respectively based upon merit only.
Pay of Technician/Draughtsman-B is 21700 /- (Pay level 3 in 7 CPC pay matrix)+ Existing rate of DA.

• The qualification prescribed is the minimum requirement and possession of the same does not automatically make the candidate eligible to be called for Written test and Skill test. There will be an initial screening, based on the academic performance and other parameters provided by the candidates/ applicants in the on-line applications and only those screened-in candidates will be called for Written test. Candidates those who qualify based on the performance/ parameters set by ISRO in the written test and taking into consideration of number of vacancies notified will have to appear for skill test.
• The final selection will be done amongst qualified candidates, purely based on the scores obtained by them in the written test. From amongst candidates who qualify in the Skill test, with minimum 60% marks, empanelment shall be done in the order of marks obtained in the written test. Skill test, will be purely on 'go-no-go' basis and marks obtained in the skill test shall not be considered for final selection [Skill test is a qualification criteria, wherein the candidate obtaining minimum 60% as go (qualified) and less than 60% as no-go (not qualified)]. In case of a tie in written test scores, the academic scores of the notified qualification(s) shall be the tie breaker.
• In respect of recruitment to the posts of Technician-B and Draughtsman-B, if there is a tie in written test scores and academic scores of notified qualification (ITI/NTC/NAC) in respect of two or more candidates, candidates possessing valid NAC score will have preference over other candidates who do not possess NAC score.
• Note: The written test will be conducted for the screened-in candidates and exam center will be decided by ISRO and change in exam center not permitted.
• Candidate who joined on basis of ITI/Draughtsman trade has a chance to become Technical Assistant/Scientist in ISRO provide they should complete their further study Diploma/B.Sc/ B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech/Ph.D or M.Sc. while in service or after joining the service only.
• Please note that candidate completed Diploma/B.E./B.Tech/ or M.Sc or Ph.D. before joining the ISRO will not be considered for Technical Assistant/Scientist post in ISRO. However you are free to apply ISRO Technical Assistant/ICRB exam and other vacancy based upon your higher qualifications.
